Children's Furniture

We built the furniture in plywood, so I gave it a faux (fake) "planked oak " look to correspond with the rustic scene, then detailed it and applied a durable clear finish.

The painted trompe l'oeil "puzzle" fools the kids and gives them some fun when they try to pick up the stray "piece" to complete it.

The purpose of the painted box (shown in previous picture) was to hold books and toys, but of course it also gets used for more creative endeavors, as you can see!
